Room Automation

The room that switches itself off.

Room Automation switches technology based on real use instead of schedules: when nobody is left, displays, audio, lighting and power sockets go off – when somebody arrives, everything is ready.

Room Automation

Presence instead of timers

In most buildings, AV technology runs while nobody is in the room – or it is off when somebody needs it. Room Automation uses real presence: the Vision Sensor or Room Insights detects whether a room is in use. If it stays empty, the Media Controller shuts the technology down in an orderly way – displays and projectors off, audio muted, lighting off via DALI or KNX, switchable power outlets disconnect devices completely.

When somebody enters the room, everything wakes up again – without anyone hunting for a switch. Schedules and scenes complement the presence logic, for example for operating hours or the nightly shutdown. And because switchable power strips also meter consumption, the savings become visible in black and white – per room and across the whole building.
