nanoblue 3rd Party API

MIDI/OSC

Two protocols. One control.

nanoblue speaks MIDI and OSC natively: digital consoles, monitoring systems and controllers become part of the platform without extra hardware – from snapshot recall to free-form messages.

MIDI/OSC × nanoblue

From digital console to immersive monitoring

Via OSC, nanoblue controls DiGiCo consoles and KLANG monitoring, for example; via MIDI – including over the network – Allen & Heath systems such as AHM, dLive, Avantis and SQ: recall and store snapshots, switch mutes, set levels in dB or send any free-form OSC and MIDI message. The reverse direction works too: a BomeBox or MIDI controller becomes an input, and nanoblue receives the events just like a console would.

The mapping turns this into workflows: a single MIDI or OSC event triggers one or several commands – optionally as a sequence with pauses in between, for example for scene changes across multiple devices. The built-in connection monitor shows the status of every connection as a traffic light in the Interactive UI or on a Stream Deck – and reports outages via nanoblue Notify.

  • Snapshots, mutes and levels (dB) for consoles and monitoring systems
  • Free-form OSC and MIDI messages for any special case
  • Event mapping: one trigger, several commands – also time-staggered
  • Connection monitor with traffic-light status and alerts via Notify
